He Expects a ReturnList Item 1
He’s given you good gifts: your body, your mind, your resources, and your influence. And He expects a return.
"For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them."
—Matthew 25:29

Why I need to be the first to apologize to my wife - even when she's wrongList Item 2
You cannot be a great father unless you are first a great husband.
“Husbands, be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect so that nothing will hinder your prayers.”
—1 Peter 3:7

Dads Don't Always Get to be the Good GuyList Item 3
And love without boundaries becomes sentiment rather than strength.
"My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in."
- Proverbs 3:11-12

Are you watching for God's fingerprints on your daysList Item 4
Jamar texted back right away. “It’s so funny you messaged. I was just praying about you.”
That wasn’t coincidence. That was God.
He had orchestrated that moment, that connection, that day.
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end."
- Ecclesiastes 3:11

The Comfort of a Sovereign God
If God were not in control, we would stand vulnerable before the chaos of the world, left at the mercy of chance.
But God reigns with full authority.
"The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all."
Psalm 103:19

Who Gets to Interpret What the Bible Really Teaches
The best way to interpret the Bible is with the Bible. Scripture interprets Scripture. It’s not as hard to understand as some would have you believe.
The real challenge isn’t understanding what God says. It’s surrendering to it.
"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."
Psalm 119:105

Don't spend a minute outside of God's kindness
What if your refusal to forgive someone, your choice to wait for an apology you know is never coming, is actually blocking God's grace in your life? What if that one decision is the very thing stopping the flow of His kindness?
Would you believe that?
You should. Because Jesus said it.
"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you."
Ephesians 4:32

Blessed Are the Peacemakers
When we were kids, we argued with friends at school or with our siblings, but we always made up in the end. That was just how things worked. You got upset, but you moved past it.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
-Matthew 5:9

Do you pray with your whole heart?
Have you ever prayed like that? Not merely spoken words, not simply gone through the motions, but poured your whole heart out to God. Perhaps in tears, in weariness, even in anguish, asking for wisdom, pleading for strength, crying out for answers that only He can give.
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
-Jeremiah 29:13
