Leave It Behind, Step Into What’s Ahead
As this month comes to a close, it is natural to look back and replay everything that happened.
The wins, the delays, the missed opportunities, and even the moments we wish we could redo. But Scripture gives us a clear direction. We are not called to live stuck in what is behind. We are called to move forward with purpose.
Paul’s words remind us that progress in our walk with God requires both release and pursuit. We release what is behind, and we intentionally press toward what is ahead. This does not mean we ignore the past, but we refuse to be defined or limited by it. Whether this past month held victories or disappointments, neither should hold us back from stepping into what God is preparing next.

Are You Living A Passive Life?
Your mission may not always be visible to the world, but it is always significant to God. Every act of faithful leadership, every moment of courage, and every decision to steward your responsibility well is part of fulfilling His purpose for your life.
You were created in His image.
You were entrusted with responsibility.
You were called for a mission.
Do not live passively. Live purposefully. Step into the mission God has placed before you, and steward it faithfully.

You Are Created for a Purpose, Not a Passive Life
One of the greatest tragedies in life is not failure from doing the wrong things; it is failure from never stepping into the mission God created you to fulfill. Many people spend their lives avoiding responsibility, shrinking back from difficult decisions, or waiting for someone else to take the lead. But Scripture makes it clear: you were not created to live passively. You were created with purpose.

Before Your Day Begins, He Has Already Written It
First, we teach them the knowledge of God. Our children need to know the stories. Psalm 78 speaks of telling the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord so that even children not yet born will hear and put their trust in Him. Teaching truth matters.
Second, we model it. Our children should see us reading Scripture. They should see us praying. They should see obedience, repentance, forgiveness, generosity, and faith lived out in real time. Example gives weight to instruction.

Faith That Lives Beyond One Generation
Isaiah 30:21 says, “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” Our children need to know that God still speaks, still guides, still helps. Jesus promised the Holy Spirit as our Helper, and that is not theory. That is daily reality.
Passing on faith is more than teaching rules and stories. It is showing them what it looks like to walk with a living God. And when they see that relationship up close, they will not just inherit religion. They will pursue Him personally.
That is how faith moves from one generation to the next.

Before Your Day Begins, He Has Already Written It
In a world driven by notifications, deadlines, and constant scrolling, it is easy to miss His fingerprints. Yet Ecclesiastes 3:11 declares, “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” Not rushed. Not chaotic. Beautiful in His timing.
— Proverbs 16:9 “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” We make plans, but God orders steps.
