Are You Living A Passive Life?
Leave what is behind in God’s hands.
Fix your eyes on what is ahead.
And step into the next season knowing that He is faithfully leading you forward.
As this month comes to a close, it is natural to look back and replay everything that happened.
The wins, the delays, the missed opportunities, and even the moments we wish we could redo. But Scripture gives us a clear direction. We are not called to live stuck in what is behind. We are called to move forward with purpose.
Paul’s words remind us that progress in our walk with God requires both release and pursuit. We release what is behind, and we intentionally press toward what is ahead. This does not mean we ignore the past, but we refuse to be defined or limited by it. Whether this past month held victories or disappointments, neither should hold us back from stepping into what God is preparing next.
At the same time, Psalm 37:23 assures us that our steps are established by the Lord. This means that even the moments we did not fully understand were not wasted. God was still guiding, still arranging, still working behind the scenes. What felt like detours may have been divine direction. What felt like delays may have been preparation.
When we hold these truths together, we begin to see a bigger picture. We can let go of the past with confidence, not because it did not matter, but because God was present in it. And we can move forward with faith, knowing He is already ahead of us, establishing the steps we are about to take.
There are moments from this past month that may still linger in your heart. As you step into a new month, shift your focus. Do not dwell on what you should have done. Instead, ask what God is calling you to do now. Be attentive to His leading. Be willing to act when He nudges your heart. Be ready to move forward with courage and obedience.
God is not finished with your story. The same God who was faithful in the past month is already at work in the days ahead. Your role is not to look back with hesitation, but to move forward with trust.
Leave what is behind in God’s hands.
Fix your eyes on what is ahead.
And step into the next season knowing that He is faithfully leading you forward.
Our Ministry in the Philippines
Where Love and Joy Overflows
By Darrell P, Orphans Ministry Volunteer
Our monthly orphanage visit this March was especially meaningful as friends joined us, led by Pastor Rob together with his children, Morgan and Kip. What began as a simple visit quickly became a beautiful time of shared love and purpose.
Before entering the main house, JC gathered everyone for a short huddle and led us in prayer, inviting the Holy Spirit and preparing our hearts. This carried into the program as JM opened in prayer, followed by heartfelt praise and worship led by Ruffa, Ruth, Jo, and Iris. The atmosphere shifted as we centered everything on God.
Tin then shared a powerful reminder from Psalm 23, that in God our Shepherd, we are complete and never lacking. In a place where many might expect lack, we instead witnessed joy, peace, and contentment in His presence.
The room soon filled with laughter as the games began. The kids, along with one very eager big kid, were divided into Team Kip and Team Morgan. They played Paint-Me-A-Picture, acting out scenes from both the Old and New Testament. Their creativity and confidence were inspiring, and Team Kip won with their dramatic portrayal of the Garden of Gethsemane.
We also celebrated two birthdays, Alea turning 2 and Cana turning 17. Pastor led a prayer of thanksgiving for their lives and for all the children. The celebration continued with a Jollibee party and loot bags that brought smiles to everyone.
We ended the program in prayer, just as we began. Despite the cold Baguio weather, the warmth and joy of the children filled the day.
Later, we shared a simple dinner with Pastor Rob and the team, where we also celebrated Pastor Rob and Kip’s birthdays. It was a meaningful time of fellowship, filled with gratitude.
Looking back, the day reminded us that when we come together in faith and love, God fills every moment with joy and purpose.
