More Than A Historical Event? Certainty Begins Here!
Ask. Pray. Be open.
Because the risen Christ is not just a message to believe.
He is a presence to encounter.
Every April, as Easter approaches, conversations often circle around one question: Did the resurrection really happen? You will see articles, debates, and countless arguments trying to prove it. And while those discussions have their place, there is a deeper truth that often gets overlooked.
Recently, I was reminded of this in a very personal way. A friend of mine walked through a difficult pregnancy. It was the kind of situation that carried uncertainty at every step. Complications, fear, constant prayer. There were moments when words felt insufficient, so all that was left was to bring it before God again and again. And strangely, every time I prayed for that child, something in me responded differently. There was a weight, a tenderness, even tears I could not fully explain.
Then the baby was born.
Healthy. Alive. A miracle in every sense.
And even now, thinking about that child stirs something deep within me. Not because I can explain it logically, but because I felt it. I experienced something real.
That is when it clicked. The resurrection of Jesus is not just something we argue about. It is something we encounter.
Yes, history matters. Evidence matters. But at the end of the day, the strongest confirmation is not found in a debate. It is found in a relationship. Because the claim of Christianity has never been just that Jesus was alive. It is that He is alive. And that changes everything.
There are moments, even today, when you sense His presence in a way that cannot be manufactured. In quiet prayers. In unexpected peace. In a sudden clarity when you needed direction. Not all the time, but enough to know He is not distant.
So this season, instead of only asking, “How do I prove the resurrection?” maybe the better question is, “Have I experienced Him for myself?”
Because that is where certainty begins.
Scripture reminds us of this promise:
“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.” — Ephesians 1:13
This April, do not settle for secondhand understanding. Seek a firsthand relationship.
Ask. Pray. Be open.
Because the risen Christ is not just a message to believe.
He is a presence to encounter.
Our Ministry in the Philippines
A Season of Celebration and Provision
By Eula P, Orphans Ministry Volunteer
There was a unique kind of energy and purpose that filled the air as we visited Hope Village in Negros Oriental, a day made even more beautiful by the presence of Pastor Bob and his children, Kip and Morgan. Their warmth and involvement added such a personal touch to the mission, reminding us that ministry is truly a family affair.
It was incredibly moving to see the dedication of our team members from Luzon and Visayas, who flew all the way to Dumaguete just to be part of this significant moment. Spending time with the children was the true highlight; their smiles and pure laughter served as a powerful reminder of the impact we make when we simply choose to show up with love and care.
It wasn't just a visit, but a day defined by deep connection, hope, and the creation of unforgettable memories.
The celebration of life continued as we moved to Sto. Niño Kids' Home Orphanage the next day to honor Kring² on her birthday. Laughter filled the air and smiles were everywhere as we gathered with Pastor Bob, his family, and the amazing orphanage team to share in this joyful milestone.
The love in the room was truly palpable, anchoring us in the truth of
1 Corinthians 16:14, which reminds us to
"Let all that you do be done in love."
We are so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate community and joy with these incredible kids, witnessing firsthand how a little bit of kindness can light up a child's entire world.
This spirit of love transitioned into practical action following our time at the orphanage. Pastor Bob and the team visited Abenson to secure essential items that will greatly improve the daily lives of both the children, social workers and house parents.
Through this generosity, the orphanage received a new freezer to ensure meat and food are preserved safely for longer periods, as well as a laptop and printer to support their administrative needs and documentation.
We are deeply thankful to Pastor Bob for his heart and leadership in providing these much-needed blessings. It was a productive and meaningful day that proved once again that when we work together, we can provide both spiritual encouragement and the practical tools necessary for a community to thrive.
