What If God Is Already Speaking?

If you want to hear from God,

begin where His heart already is.

Find the need. Follow the burden.
Serve the person in front of you.
God still speaks.

One of the quiet struggles of this generation is not always rebellion. More often, it is disconnection.

Many people today are overwhelmed by noise, constant updates, endless opinions, and the pressure to keep up with everything happening in the world. We are more connected than ever, yet many still feel deeply uncertain, anxious, and spiritually distant. In a world full of voices, one of the most common questions people still ask is this:

How do I hear from God?

That question matters, because beneath it is often something deeper. It is not just curiosity. It is hunger. It is the longing to know that God is still near, still speaking, and still involved in the details of our lives.

The good news is that hearing from God is not reserved for a select few. It is not limited to pastors, leaders, or people with extraordinary stories. God still speaks, and He is not difficult to find.

Sometimes we ask God for direction in the personal decisions that weigh on us. What should I do next? Where should I go? What choice should I make? Scripture reminds us in

           James 1:5

that when we lack wisdom, we can ask, and God will answer.

He is generous with wisdom, and He does not withhold it.

But often, the clearest moments of hearing God come when we stop asking only what He can do for us and begin asking

what He wants to do through us.

Throughout Scripture, when God spoke clearly, it was often connected to purpose. He spoke to Moses so he could lead. He spoke to Samuel so he could serve. He spoke to Elijah so he could go. Again and again,

God’s voice came with direction, and that direction was almost always tied to blessing someone else. That pattern still matters today.

If we only approach God for answers about our comfort, we may hear wisdom. But when we ask Him who needs encouragement, who needs help, who needs truth, who needs love, we begin stepping into something deeper. We begin to hear His heart. That is often where His voice becomes clearest.

In a world marked by isolation, distraction, and quiet despair, this kind of question matters more than ever. When we make ourselves available for

            His work,

we begin to recognize His leading in ways we may have missed before. And when we begin serving what matters to Him, we often find that He begins sharing more of His heart with us.

If you want to hear from God,

begin where His heart already is.

Find the need. Follow the burden.
Serve the person in front of you.
God still speaks.

Very often,

He speaks while we are already on the move.

           Yesterday felt like a

           core memory

in the making! We took the orphans to SM Cinema and went shopping with them, but before anything else, we made a very important stop at McDonald’s. Devotionals first before the fun. What started as a simple pause became something deeply meaningful.

Everyone began sharing their personal experiences, and our mini breakout turned into a moment of reflection. We talked about

choosing to magnify God instead of our disappointments,

and for a while, the room grew quiet as hearts opened.

After McDonald’s, we met up with the rest of the kids who rode a jeepney going to the mall. Even the ride itself felt like a celebration. By the time we all gathered, the excitement had grown even more. They had been hoping to watch a movie this year, and finally, that moment came.

We started with Super Mario, and the room was filled with laughter from beginning to end.

It was the kind of joy that needed no explanation.

After the movie, it was time to shop with our birthday celebrant and our Duolingo topnotchers. Sharmaine chose where she wanted to go, and the whole moment felt like a simple family day out.

Meanwhile, the rest of the kids were enjoying their time at the arcade. Watching their faces light up was something truly special. For many of them, it was their first time experiencing a cinema, a mall, an arcade, and even shopping for themselves.

We shared a meal together at Mang Inasal, where everyone left full and happy. Laughter continued over unlimited rice, Sisig, and Palabok, and the joy never seemed to run out.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was the loot bag shopping. With a buddy system in place, the kids were given the chance to choose what they wanted. It felt like they were shopping with their own families.

Seeing their excitement in the simplest choices reminded us how powerful these moments can be.

There is so much more that could be said about this day, but what remains is

           a deep sense of gratitude

. Moments like these remind us that

joy is not found in grand things, but in shared experiences, in presence, and in love freely given.

We thank God for the opportunity to create memories like this, and we are grateful for the hearts that continue to make it possible.

Truly, it was a blessed and unforgettable day!

More Than A Historical Event? Certainty Begins Here!

           Ask. Pray. Be open.
Because the risen Christ is not just a message to believe.
He is a presence to encounter.

Every April, as Easter approaches, conversations often circle around one question: Did the resurrection really happen? You will see articles, debates, and countless arguments trying to prove it. And while those discussions have their place, there is a deeper truth that often gets overlooked.

Recently, I was reminded of this in a very personal way. A friend of mine walked through a difficult pregnancy. It was the kind of situation that carried uncertainty at every step. Complications, fear, constant prayer. There were moments when words felt insufficient, so all that was left was to bring it before God again and again. And strangely, every time I prayed for that child, something in me responded differently. There was a weight, a tenderness, even tears I could not fully explain.

Then the baby was born.
Healthy. Alive. A miracle in every sense.
And even now, thinking about that child stirs something deep within me. Not because I can explain it logically, but because I felt it. I experienced something real.

That is when it clicked. The

           resurrection of Jesus

is not just something we argue about.

           It is something we encounter.

Yes, history matters. Evidence matters. But at the end of the day, the strongest confirmation is not found in a debate. It is found in a

           relationship.

Because the claim of Christianity has never been just that Jesus was alive.

It is that He is alive.

           And that changes everything.

There are moments, even today, when you sense His presence in a way that cannot be manufactured. In quiet prayers. In unexpected peace. In a sudden clarity when you needed direction. Not all the time, but enough to know He is not distant.

So this season, instead of only asking, “How do I prove the resurrection?” maybe the better question is, “Have I experienced Him for myself?”

Because that is where certainty begins.
Scripture reminds us of this promise:

“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.”

           — Ephesians 1:13

This April, do not settle for secondhand understanding. Seek a firsthand relationship.

           Ask. Pray. Be open.

Because the risen Christ is not just a message to believe.

He is a presence to encounter.

Are You Living A Passive Life?

Leave what is behind in God’s hands.

And step into the next season knowing that He is faithfully leading you forward.

As this month comes to a close, it is natural to look back and replay everything that happened.

The wins, the delays, the missed opportunities, and even the moments we wish we could redo. But

Scripture gives us a clear direction

. We are not called to live stuck in what is behind.

We are called to move forward with purpose.

Paul’s words remind us that progress in our walk with God requires both release and pursuit. We release what is behind, and we intentionally press toward what is ahead. This does not mean we ignore the past, but we refuse to be defined or limited by it.

Whether this past month held victories or disappointments, neither should hold us back from stepping into what God is preparing next.

At the same time, Psalm 37:23 assures us that our steps are established by the Lord. This means that even the moments we did not fully understand were not wasted.

God was still guiding, still arranging, still working behind the scenes.

What felt like detours may have been divine direction. What felt like delays may have been preparation.

When we hold these truths together, we begin to see a bigger picture. We can let go of the past with confidence, not because it did not matter, but because God was present in it. And we can move forward with faith, knowing

He is already ahead of us, establishing the steps we are about to take.

There are moments from this past month that may still linger in your heart. As you step into a new month, shift your

. Do not dwell on what you should have done. Instead, ask what God is calling you to do now. Be attentive to His leading. Be willing to act when He nudges your heart.

Be ready to move forward with courage and obedience.

God is not finished with your story.

The same God who was faithful in the past month is already at work in the days ahead. Your role is not to look back with hesitation, but to move forward with trust.

Our monthly orphanage visit this March was especially meaningful as friends joined us, led by Pastor Rob together with his children, Morgan and Kip.

What began as a simple visit quickly became a beautiful time of shared love and purpose.

Before entering the main house, JC gathered everyone for a short huddle and led us in prayer, inviting the Holy Spirit and preparing our hearts. This carried into the program as JM opened in prayer, followed by heartfelt praise and worship led by Ruffa, Ruth, Jo, and Iris. The atmosphere shifted as we centered everything on God.

Tin then shared a powerful reminder from

           Psalm 23,

            that

in God our Shepherd, we are complete and never lacking. In a place where many might expect lack, we instead witnessed joy, peace, and contentment in His presence.

The room soon filled with laughter as the games began. The kids, along with one very eager big kid, were divided into Team Kip and Team Morgan. They played Paint-Me-A-Picture, acting out scenes from both the Old and New Testament. Their creativity and confidence were inspiring, and Team Kip won with their dramatic portrayal of the Garden of Gethsemane.

We also celebrated two birthdays, Alea turning 2 and Cana turning 17. Pastor led a prayer of thanksgiving for their lives and for all the children. The celebration continued with a Jollibee party and loot bags that brought smiles to everyone.

We ended the program in prayer, just as we began. Despite the cold Baguio weather, the warmth and joy of the children filled the day.

Later, we shared a simple dinner with Pastor Rob and the team, where we also celebrated Pastor Rob and Kip’s birthdays. It was a meaningful time of fellowship, filled with gratitude.

Looking back, the day reminded us that

when we come together in faith and love, God fills every moment with joy and purpose.

It makes you think: on an average day, if we’re awake for about a thousand minutes, that’s roughly a thousand moments—thoughts, actions, choices. Now, sure, a lot of those are everyday things like “What’s for lunch?” or “Where did I leave my phone?” But what if we paused to look a little deeper?

How many of those thousand thoughts are rooted in the flesh—centered on ego, fear, or self-preservation? And how many are born of the Spirit—shaped by grace, love, kindness, and the kind of thinking only a child of God can do?

It’s a convicting question. One that doesn’t come with shame, but with invitation. Because the Spirit of God is in us, and He is more than willing to shape the way we see, think, and live—one thought at a time.

So what’s your ratio today? How are you seeing others? How are you seeing yourself?

Maybe today’s a good day to ask the Lord to help us see a little more clearly—not just with our eyes, but with our hearts.

“Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.”

It started like any other visit—decorations up, music on, everyone in position. But the moment we stepped into Tahanan ng Pagmamahal, the energy shifted.

Fairy Tale theme. Three birthdays. Royalty-level joy. The plan was simple: give the kids a magical day. But then—they flipped the script.

They laughed louder than we expected. They played harder. They drew us in. Suddenly, we weren’t running the show—they were. One activity bled into the next, and before we knew it, we had blown past the schedule like it didn’t exist. No one cared. Especially not us.

And just when we thought the day was winding down, the kids huddled close. “Don’t go yet,” they said. Eyes wide. Smiles holding on. And just like that, the party became something else—a moment we didn’t want to leave either.

We came with a plan—celebrate birthdays, bring a bit of fairy tale magic, and remind the kids at Tahanan ng Pagmamahal that they matter—but from the moment we arrived, they pulled us in with laughter, hugs, and wide-eyed wonder. There was no strict program, just unfiltered joy as they played, told stories, and turned the day into something far more meaningful than we imagined. What was meant to be a party became a moment of connection—where celebration gave way to presence, and every child was reminded they are seen, known, and deeply loved.

Our Orphan Teams visit 18 orphanages across the Philippines every month to celebrate each of our 600 orphans on their birthdays. We come to celebrate, bring gifts & cakes, and spend time with them.
